Product Description

Pregnaclinic is offering a fertility blood test to assess you?re the levels of your key hormones important in maintaining your fertility, ?which is usually the first test that needs to be done if you are finding it difficult to conceive and suspect that you may be infertile.

The blood test is taken at the start of your menstrual cycle (on day 3) and typically measure levels of the hormones:

Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)- helps control a woman?s menstrual cycle and the production of eggs.

Estradiol-. This test is quite important as?is used to measure a woman?s ovarian function and to evaluate the quality of the eggs.

Luteinizing hormone (LH) – ?this hormone is linked to ovarian hormone production and egg maturation. An?LH test?is used to measure a woman?s ovarian reserve (egg supply)

Prolactin- is a hormone which is produced in the pituitary gland and plays a role in reproductive health. Raised levels in a woman who isn’t pregnant or breastfeeding can signal?fertility problems as well as irregular periods.

Assessing for any abnormalities in the levels of these hormones is a relatively easy way of identifying why it is taking you some time to get pregnant and in some cases, this may be enough to pinpoint the root of the problem.

Who is this for & Importance

For woman who want to assess their fertility status or who are over the age of 35 and planning to have a baby. Women become less fertile as they get older. For women aged 35, about 95% who have regular unprotected sexual intercourse will get pregnant after?three years of trying. For women aged 38, only 75 % will do so.

For women who are having problems with becoming pregnant after unprotected sex and suspect they may have infertility issues.

Take this day 3 of your menstrual cycle as a First line of check to rule out any misbalances of hormones as the possible causes.
